Interested in Becoming a State Officer?
Becoming a TSA officer at the state level is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the club’s success and demonstrate your leadership. As a state officer, one will develop effective communication skills, collaborate with advisers, officers, and members, and gain an understanding behind the inner workings of Maryland TSA. Most of all, it is a way to serve the membership and give back to TSA.
There are six state officer positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, and Sergeant at Arms. Candidates who apply to a position are elected by majority vote of the voting delegates at the Maryland State Conference.
Qualifications
Only active members will be eligible for a state office (Seniors may not run for office.)
Only high school students may run for State Officer
The candidate must have a 3.0 grade point average in STEM classes based on a 4.0 being an “A”.
A candidate may seek only one office.
Original officer candidate applications must be received by Maryland TSA before the deadline set in the Calendar of Events. Applications will be screened and candidates will be notified of their status after the deadline.
